Repair and tuning kit for the oil pump on all CIH engines.
This kit contains a high-quality steel piston that replaces the original plastic piston. The piston is slightly longer than the original part in order to increase the spring preload and improve guidance. The higher preload increases the oil pressure and causes the pressure relief valve to open later. By using the two sealing rings provided, the length of the piston corresponds to the original again. If the oil pressure was previously OK and you simply want to switch to a steel piston, one sealing ring may be sufficient.
